  • Acted as financial advisor in restructuring the largest owner and operator of extended stay hotels in North America, including $7.5 billion in mortgage and mezzanine debt, on behalf of the principal shareholder

  • Directed the workout activities for a $6.0 billion private equity fund manager, including negotiating restructures, forbearances, deeds-in-lieu, discounted payoffs, and guarantee settlements

  • Directed the asset management of a $3.0 billion portfolio of properties and non-performing loans.  Managed coordination with various third-party service providers, including special servicers, asset managers, and property managers

  • Completed $1.7 billion multifamily portfolio sale (86 communities) and strategic repositioning on behalf of a public multifamily REIT

  • Oversaw the litigation strategy and support related to a sponsor’s successful dismissal of a 52-plaintiff case relating to five residential resort developments (including two bankruptcies) encumbered by a $675 million syndicated loan

  • Completed the restructuring of over $300 million of senior and subordinate financing secured by a portfolio of regional malls

  • Completed the restructuring of 17 hotels with a combined $170 million of secured debt, including obtaining the release of a $16 million personal guaranty issued by the borrower’s key principal

  • Advised on the $1.0 billion disposition of a portfolio of 37 hotels in United Kingdom

  • Managed the workout strategies for approximately 80 separate loan facilities aggregating over $1.5 billion of outstanding principal for a $1.9 billion residential resort portfolio for major private equity fund

  • Completed a $110 million office and retail portfolio sale in Philadelphia as part of a strategic repositioning of a family-owned real estate company’s assets

  • Advised on the “friendly” foreclosure of $40 million office asset in Wilmington Delaware including obtaining release of personal guarantees by borrower’s principals
